Hello staff, families carers grandparents and students.

I will quickly introduce myself, my name is Sharlene Gelle and I'm very excited and proud to be welcomed by you all in my new role, as the new pastoral support worker I have been very welcomed by students, staff, and families in these past 3 weeks, for which I am most grateful. I've had the opportunity to visit some classrooms and attend Kindy 2023 playgroups. I can't thank the teachers enough for supporting me in building positive relationships with all the students.

My role is to support and empower students. I aim to improve and foster an atmosphere for positive wellbeing, learning, resilience, fairness, and equal opportunities. I will be a listening ear in times of challenge where I will let your voice be heard, valued, and respected!

I will also work closely with your Wellbeing Coordinator Mr Douglas, the Defence Liaison Natalie, together with Counsellors Kelly and Kate. We will work as a team to support the wellbeing and safety of all students.

My location is upstairs next door to 4B Classroom (unless I'm in a classroom supporting children).

My days at St Michael's are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
