Swimming Carnival
Our annual Swimming Carnival will be held next Friday 2 December for all students in Years 2 to 6. Thank you to all those parents and carers who have given online consent and sent back the swimming proficiency form. If you have yet to do this, can you please go to the Compass Parent Portal under Events and complete the form.
The carnival will be held in two parts:
PART 1: Competitive Swimming, 8.30am
This is for those students who are serious and strong swimmers who would like to represent the school at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival in 2023. Students will need to be dropped off at the pool for this part of the carnival.
PART 2: Non-Competitive Swimming Carnival
This will take place at the conclusion of the competitive carnival. Students will arrive at school as normal, and they will be bused to and from Bomaderry pool for the carnival. All students will compete in this part of the carnival. There will be no formal races with ribbons given out. Students will be given the opportunity to swim against their friends across the width of the pool in freestyle, breaststroke and if time permits relays.
For the carnival all students are required to bring;
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Recess and lunch (students will not be allowed to access the canteen
- Water
Parents are welcome to come and watch the carnival.
Diocesan Sport Trials
On Thursday 24November, Neveah Deaves and Cruze Mamo (both of Year 5) trialled for the Wollongong Touch Football team, competing against 35 talented players from across the Diocese. Unfortunately, Cruze narrowly missed out on selection, however congratulations goes to Neveah who was selected. Early next year, Nevaeh will travel to Yass as part of the Wollongong Team and participate in the MacKillop trials.
