Confirmation 2023
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated at St Michael’s Parish Nowra on Saturday 10 June 2023. If your child is in Year 6 next year and wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, please mark this date in your calendar.
Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong - Christmas Art Competition 2022
As announced earlier this term Lily Farrugia’s (Year 5) artwork ‘The Birth of Jesus and the Magi’ received the award of Highly Commended. I am delighted to announce that out of the many artworks from schools across the diocese, Lily’s artwork was chosen by CEDoW for their 2022 Christmas card.
What a wonderful acknowledgement of Lily’s great artwork.
Christmas
Christmas is more than just Santa Claus, bright lights and presents. For Christmas, the season, marked by the start of Advent, begins a period that culminates with the birth of Jesus. The Catholic Church celebrates the four weeks preceding Christmas to prepare for the coming of Christ. This time of the year is regularly referred to as ‘the holidays’ when they’re really holy days.
Christmas is a time of spiritual reflection on the important foundations of the Christian faith. It’s when Christians celebrate God’s love for the world through the birth of the Christ child: Jesus.
Christmas Mass Times
This year after COVID 19, let’s try and celebrate with our parish communities the Birth of Jesus, the light of the world.
