BASKETBALL GALA DAY

On Thursday 14th and Friday 15th September, selected students from Years 4 to 6 participated in a Basketball Gala Day at the Shellharbour Sports Complex. All students were extremely well behaved and enjoyed the opportunity of playing against schools in the southern part of the Wollongong Diocese.

Thank you to Mrs Roles for supervising the students and to parents; Lisa Webber, Emma Lucke, Kelly Doll, Simone Hackett and Renee Warnes for managing teams on the day.

MACKILLOP ATHLETICS TRIALS

On Monday 18 September, Mila Bozikov, Amarlie Ward, Morten Ellerington, Adam Wisniewski, Cooper Green and Sylas Murphy, competed in the MacKillop Athletics Trials at Homebush Athletics Centre. It was an extremely warm day with students drinking slushies and eating ice cream to remain cool in the soaring heat of up to 36 degrees. Despite the challenging conditions, students displayed tremendous efforts to achieve outstanding results!

2024 DIOCESE SPORT NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN

Nominations are now open for students in Years 4 and 5 wishing to trial for a Wollongong Diocesan team for 2024. Students are required to be experienced players and extremely talented in their chosen sport.

If students are successful during these trials, they have the opportunity to represent the Diocese of Wollongong at the MacKillop Trials, with the possibility to progress to State Representative level.

We are limited in the number of students we are able to select for each sport, and advise that students must meet the criteria set by the Diocese. Children may be unsuccessful in their nomination due to experience, skills or not meeting the selection criteria. All students who have nominated for a sport will be informed of the outcome closer to the trial date. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Allmark.
