NATIONAL APOLOGY DAY
On Tuesday 13th February 2024, Australia commemorates the 16th anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations which was presented to Parliament by the then Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd in 2008. National Apology Day is a day to remember and pray for the children who were taken away from their families and homes and commit to right the wrongs of past injustices and build a bridge of respect between all people.
On this day, St. Michael's community will reflect and pray as we are committed to walking together with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sisters and brothers in a spirit of reconciliation and recognition.
