What is Legacy Day in Australia?
Legacy Week is a significant fundraising event for many Australians. The funds raised benefit over 100,000 war widows, 1900 children, and people with disabilities. It's also a time when we, as a nation, come together to remember and honour the sacrifices made by our soldiers and their families.
We give back to the families of those who gave so much to our country.
Our Nowra Legacy group supports 200 widows and 15 school-age children in the Shoalhaven.
Legacy Badge Week will be held across the Nowra region from 2 to 6 September. This is a time for St Michael's school to come together and show our support for the families of those who gave so much to our country. Your participation this week is greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference.
Our Year Five students, supported by Year 6 Defence students, will sell legacy-approved merchandise such as well-known bears, pen sets, and other items. They will also accept gold coin donations from students who wish to contribute. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to contribute to our community.
Prices are as follows;
Bears $20
Pens $5
Keyrings $5
Wristbands $3
Merchandise will be selling (cash only) during Week 7 as follows;
