DANCE SHOWCASE
This term our focus in Creative Arts has been on Dance. Students in Year 3-6 have been composing and choreographing short dance pieces around a particular theme.
Year 3 and 4 have been focusing on 'The Great Space Adventure' where 3 friends; Sammy, Mia and Leo decide to build a rocketship in Mia's backyard and take off into space. Where it leads them, nobody knows!!!
Students in Year 5 and 6 studied environmental concerns during their Term 2 Drama lessons. Complementing this learning, this term Year 5 & 6 have been composing and choreographing a short dance piece based on Dr Seuss' 'classic childrens' tale, The Lorax'. The Lorax explores the interconnected world of nature and the possible damage if we don't act responsibly, providing a timeless call to protect and preserve our natural resources.
All students in Years 3-6 will be participating in a Dance showcase in the hall during Week 10 at the following times;
