Religious Education News
Welcome back. I hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday.
The Year 2025 is a Jubilee Year for the Church.
What is a Jubilee?
A Jubilee is a special year of grace and conversation involving prayer, pilgrimage and repentance, held every 25 years, or during other years as called for by the Pope.
The most recent Jubilees were celebrated in 2000, 'The Great Jubilee', and most recently, 'The Extraordinary Jubilee Year of 2015' - The Holy Year of Mercy.
The Jubilee Year allows for a variety of ways for Catholics to be engaged in this special time of renewal. As a community, we are invited to reflect and renew our relationships with God, one another and all of creation.
WHOLE SCHOOL OPENING LITURGY
Please join us to celebrate and welcome new students, staff and families to our St Michael's Community. We will commission our Year 6 Leaders for 2025 as they accept their leadership responsibilities within our school community. We will also commission our Year 6 Mini Vinnies students and our Student Representative Members from Year 3 to 6.
