Spring is here and there are finals happening for most of the winter sports. I was lucky enough to catch a few games of the 9/10’s netball on Saturday. There were some extremely close games (1 game went to double overtime) with some teams going on to make the Grand Final, other teams just missing out and having to play an elimination final to qualify for the Grand Final and others being knocked out altogether. Congratulations to all those students whose teams have made it to the next round of finals. In AFL, there were some students who took part in the Grand Final on Sunday between Bomaderry Tigers and Bay and Basin Bombers. From all accounts it was a close and hard fought game with Bay and Basin winning by 12. Lastly in soccer, there were students who took part in some close games and heart breaking losses. Again some teams have been knocked out, others playing an elimination final this weekend and some already in the Grand Final. We wish all the students the best in their upcoming finals matches.
