Congratulations to our Year 2 students who last week received the important Sacrament of Reconciliation. In Reconciliation we come to Jesus for forgiveness. We are reconciled with God, with the Church, and with the people we have hurt. Through the sacrament we celebrate Jesus' gift of forgiveness. A big thank you to the parents and teachers who continue to support the students in their faith journey.
While Year 2 was preparing to make their First Reconciliation, three students made the decision that they wanted to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and be Baptised. Last Wednesday, Thomas, Indy and Braxton made a commitment to their faith. It was such a special time for them, their families and their teachers. Thank you to Father Leo for two beautiful celebrations.
So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Galatians 3: 26-28
Next term the Sacrament of Confirmation and First Holy Communion will take place in St Michael's Parish. Notes regarding these sacraments were sent home last week. If you wish your child to receive either of these sacraments notes need to be returned by tomorrow Friday 18 September. Dates and sessions for the sacraments will be finalised before the end of term. Thanks once again for your patience and understanding during these different times.
