Hi Defence families! 

To celebrate the end of Semester One, each year level will be having a small pizza party for Defence Club next week. Permission notes have gone home so please remember to return them to school this week or let me know via our SeeSaw app. If you are a defence family and have not received the note, or are unsure that your child is currently included in the Defence School Mentor program, please send me an email on hayesn01@dow.catholic.edu.au and I will add your family to the program.  The Defence School Mentor program supports students who have parents or caregivers who are currently serving in the Australian Defence Force. Support includes welcoming and farewelling families, assisting students to integrate and connect with the school and local community, and offering support during times of parental absence such as deployment, training and MWDU. 

A resource worth highlighting this fortnight is the EC Defence Program. It is a program that has developed resources for children from defence families who are experiencing parental absence. The resources are easy to access and well worth a look. https://ecdefenceprograms.com/
