Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The fortnightly newsletter will continue to be shared with you each Thursday commencing next week. You have received numerous Compass alerts over the past two weeks, mainly relating to COVID-19 procedures, so this communication today will be brief.
Welcome back to everyone. A special welcome is extended to our new families. Congratulations on the exceptional way that all students have returned to school. They are very settled, calm and are wearing their school uniforms with pride. I have visited all classrooms and can happily report that learning has commenced within very organised, attractive and positive environments. Despite the challenges presented to the students, staff and families at the present time, students have returned to school ready to learn. Thank you parents for preparing your child so beautifully for the new school year. The students are a credit to you.
Mrs Turner, Mrs Goodwin and numerous staff did a magnificent job with distributing the RAT kits to be used in the first two weeks. Testing your child before school twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) will certainly assist to keep all of us safe. All staff are testing twice a week as well. The school will contact families immediately if a positive case of COVID-19 is reported, however the school will most likely remain open and all Public Health Orders will be followed.
A comprehensive newsletter including teaching staff appointments and possible upcoming events, will be shared with you next Thursday 10 February 2022. Have a good week.
Yours in Faith and Virtue,
Mr Christopher Paton
Welcome back to school everyone! I hope you all had the opportunity to recharge and have some fun over the school holidays. This term I will be working Mondays and Tuesdays. I will be busy conducting individual check-ins and also running Lunch Club. To adhere to the Covid safe practices in our school, I will keep students within their cohort and we will also do lots of outside activities and individual craft projects. My biggest aim is to support your child as best as I can. To assist me with this, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know if you have a family member who is currently deployed or away for training. I look forward to another exciting term with you all.
